No Tricks, Just Treats: How Therapists Can Build an Un-Scary Future with KEY
October 23, 2024I want to thank you so much and express full-force gratitude to all in this field! You Rock!!! As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to take a moment to reflect on the invaluable contributions Therapists make to the Employer & Employee workplace every day. Whether you’re a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Athletic Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, or Therapy Assistant, you’re bringing a unique set of skills and knowledge that goes far beyond clinical practice alone. YOU are changing lives by enhancing the health, safety, and well-being of countless individuals who show up to work daily—often with physical challenges that might otherwise go unaddressed.
Therapists are specially equipped to provide Employee Health and Injury & Illness Prevention services. Through your background and training, you have honed the ability to identify, alleviate, and oftentimes prevent pain and limitations that could hinder Employees’ ability to work comfortably and efficiently. You are a vital resource for those navigating pain, physical limitations, and stress, and are often providing the first line of support in promoting workplace health.
You built on your foundational knowledge, pushed your expertise beyond what was learned in school to now create impact in diverse environments, working with individuals in occupational health. As you grow your knowledge base to meet the unique demands of each workplace, this versatility and commitment to growth empowers you to tackle unique health and injury prevention needs effectively.
Each day, you have the chance and take the opportunity to offer knowledge for improvement to Employers and Employees. These aren’t just professional interventions—they’re transformative moments for Employers to support their Employees in regaining their comfort and quality of life. Through assessments, education, early intervention and outcome measures, you offer a pathway toward well-being and resilience for Employees while contributing to a much improved bottom line for Employers.
What a gift! What a life!! THANK YOU!!! You are reducing injury rates, minimizing OSHA recordables, lowering Workers’ Compensation claims, and creating healthier work habits! These further reduce turnover, increase productivity, and build a workplace that fosters loyalty and satisfaction—all contributing to a more successful organization!!
BRAVO!!! In your roles, you are empowered to make an extraordinary difference, not only touching individual lives but also fostering thriving workplaces. This Thanksgiving, I personally hope you’ll take a moment to recognize the far-reaching impact of your work. Thank you for all that you do! It is my sincerest delight and gratitude to be a part of this health care field with all of you. Thank you … from Glenda Key, KEY Functional Assessments Network.
