Do you say “YES, that’s Me!” to any of these 12 descriptives?

October 7, 2021Have you ever dreamed of owning your own business? The reasons for doing so can be as unique as the individual. But in general, most people pursue this goal for reasons that fall into the following 4 categories.
BYOB: Be your own boss. Starting a business allows you to choose your work location, set your own hours, and make your own rules. If you need a better work-life balance, it’s up to you to create it. When you want a vacation, you make it happen. What you currently dream of doing outside of work, you plan for it and do it. Build the career of your dreams while building the personal life of your choosing.
ERR: Escape the rat race. When you’re employed by someone else, you spend most of your time following rules that often don’t fit you. They are rules of success for someone else’s goals. Starting your own business allows you to chart your own race and set the pace. You’re in control.
SOL: Satisfaction of life. More than 60 percent of Americans work in jobs they dislike. Starting your business means you choose something you enjoy, in your area of expertise, and then you design a career you love! Why look for fulfillment in other people’s dreams? Instead of feeling trapped in their dreams because you don’t have the ‘perfect’ job, explore starting your own business – it allows you to turn your own vision into an exciting, fulfilling reality!
“Starting your own business lets you create fulfillment rather than find it” – Jesse Sumrak.
IRS: Increased revenue/salary. Working for someone else means accepting the salary that they offer. It might increase from time to time, but overall your earnings are often quite limited. Start your own business, and your earnings are dependent on the level of your ambition and following your own plan. You set your growth rates, and you take on the process and projects to attain these goals.
The upside – You, and you alone, are in charge of your business’ growth.
The downside – You, and you alone, are in charge of your business’ growth.
